Riding bikes has been fleeting this spring. Gus died, then we got sick, then we got a little better, then I got a mild case of Pneumonia....got a little better, now I and probably Mary too have it again! Nothing makes you appreciate what you have more than losing your health. Even an entire spring time lost is not so terrible in the grand scheme of things. And maybe it wasn't really lost, the pictures below don't seem to show we missed much. Maybe it wasn't on two wheels, but we were still out there.
Above, one of the many storms that blew through in April, causing Mary's hands to instantly swell.
"It's only a thousand feet down dad, can I go? I see sweet trails down there!"
We found Dinka last November. Due to cold winter temps she has always burrowed under the covers to sleep at our feet, but now that it's warmer she has found a "cooler" spot.
A quick ride between bouts of coughing...
A classic Mary dead tree shot....
And a classic "live" tree shot from me...
Red, Yellow, Blue??? Blue lichen??? Pretty cool!
Mary shows the moon whose bigger. (No photo shop, I promise)
