    thanks for posting this. I am a father of a 2 and a half year old. helmets are a challenge to keep on him. i needed the reminder. hope she feels better soon

    what happened?? thanks for the reminder to wear my helmet. my niece doesn't even own one, even though she has a bike...i'm running out to get her one!

    It's been almost a year since Willow was run over by a truck. She has some scar's from the road rash on her back, but her leg, and more importantly her head are fine. She now has a "stinky foot" which she mentions often, the result of the cast. Her parents are still dealing with the medical bills and insurance company.

    An adorable precious child. Hope she is doing okay after the fact. I'm 40 ... bike accident at 10 (back in the day when no one wore helmets) left me stone deaf in one ear and a sense of balance that is pretty off. Always encourage parents to make sure their kids are not only wearing helmets, but wearing them properly!
