It's been six months since I completed the Centurion route. It's still the most surreal thing I have ever done. This post is to let everyone finally take a look at all the photo's from that day. Also, this is a chance to push everyone to go out and buy the latest issue of Mountain Flyer Magazine. I spent most of January and February writing the 8 page article that graces the pages of that issue, titled, "The Day I Rode Em All." Editors Brian Riepe and Carolyn Spaeth helped immensely along with friends who read the many edits and gave insight. This story goes back all the way to 2007 so there have been many many drafts. Greg Luck's camera artistry adds legitimacy to just how difficult this ride is, showing the landscape very true to form and gnarly as ever. One more time I want to thank my support crew from that day, Keith Lay, Des Garmin, Tim Walsh, Greg Luck, and my most amazing shredtastic wife, Mary. Also, Michael Browne and Larry Young from Trek Bikes allowed me the opportunity to present my ride idea to most of the worlds cycling publications all at once and with most of Trek's pro riders in the audience. Having those guys applauding and rooting for me was one of the most humbling moments of my life. Please enjoy the photo's and go get a copy of the magazine on news stands NOW!
Beautiful pictures of an epic ride. Fred W
